"An overworked analyst and her arrogant nepo-baby boss survive a plane crash near Thailand and must cooperate to survive on a remote jungle island while their workplace power dynamic collapses around them."
The film was written by Damian Shannon & Mark Swift and directed by Sam Raimi.
Raimi? Yep... Raimi directed an island survival movie... and you come into this movie thinking, 'Haven't we seen this trope of a movie already?'
Well, yes, we have, but I have to warn you, you haven't seen one LIKE THIS!
---
It starts out in an office environment, setting the tone as we learn about the arrogant office supervisor and a Survivor TV series super-fan, so to speak. They're forced to go to a work meeting in a company jet, a bunch of yuppie guys and the brainy girl whose good at numbers. Then something happens to the plane and away we go with the fun.
The film garnered a 6.8 / 10 on IMDb and it's worthy of that score.
If you want to sit back and enjoy an original take on an old trope, I think you'd like this film.
Honest!!!
